Early in July one of the lots produced by Henriques & Henriques (H & H) had an honorable place at the State Banquet offered by Elizabeth II & the Duke of Edinburgh to the Spanish Sovereigns, Felipe VI and Letizia. It was the first official visit of the Spanish Monarchs since 1986, year of Juan Carlos of Spain last visit to the United Kingdom.
Guests greeted at Buckingham Palace were treated to a three-course paired menu. Among the selected wines, our natural highlight goes to H & H’s 15 y.o. Bual, that closed the tasting alongside the dessert, a bitter chocolate tart with raspberries.
This selection by the British Royal House was highlighted as a reason of “enormous pride” by the brand’s CEO, Humberto Jardim.
William and Kate – dukes of Cambridge, Charles and Camilla – dukes of Cornwall, Prince Harry and Prime Minister Theresa May also attended the Banquet.
